does anyone know if what years they made the hombre pickup? Will the hombre front clip bolt right onto a 99 sonoma? what years should i look for to do a front clip swap?
lastly, does anyone have a clip that they will swap for a 99 sonoma front clip?
Im pretty sure you need to just change the core support then everything bolts right up.
Bad part is i dont think they make any aftermarket Hombre front end parts so you have to go with all OEM.
thats all im looking to do. i just wanna give my bitch a new smile. r u sure u need to change the core support on my year, or was the core support the same as the 97 and earlier front end.
im almost possitive all S series core supports changed in 98. i put a 98-up noma clip on my 97 s10 and i had to change the core support. so im pretty sure you will have to change it.
get in touch w/ matt (MTech) on here...he did it
And yeah they do make aftermaeket Hombre parts, I've ordered them for the our bodyshop when I worked in a dealership.
how hard is it to change the core support. is it bolt in or does it need to be cut, modified, and welded in

ive been told the core support is the same as the s10s and shouldnt be an issue i know there is a 96 izuzu around my house and i got a 98.. if sombodys willing to trade fenders id be willing to once i change my headlights out (however i dont know cali laws for not having fenders...) id sell those as im gonna be in need of a stock hood more than the newer headlights. only reason i havent listed them yet is cause i dont have a set of stock s10 fenders. however hit me up in the next few days or drop me an instant message & i might have the headlamps available in the next 3-4 days....
Core support isnt the same ...they are different. So BigE you will have to change it.
Chris is right they do make aftermarket hombre parts.... but thats the key....after buying an entire front clip ...do ya really wanna sit and play split the panel gap forever and have parts that fit like shit... aftermarket parts are cheap for a reason.... so if ya wanna chance it...go for it...
but best bet is to go with OEM sheetmetal...thats what i did and I live in Tenn. and ended up having to get it from a dude in Missouri cause couldnt find anyone closer or any junk yards that had anything (even if part finder sites online said they did...called an ass load and they didnt have nothing they claimed they did)
Also no one has mentioned anything bout a hombre bed ....yall gonna need a hombre bed also..otherwise shit aint gonna match... theres humps located above the wheel well opening and also the bodyline on the opening changes up also and isnt the same
But other than that....its all bolt up...simple ...just key is getting good OEM parts that makes it a lil harder.
fenders hood core suppot lights grille wiring harness that should be all u need
