Oil Pan on S-10 Problems..

I have an 96' s-10 4.3, well my oil pan sat below the crossmember which was i thought wierd...even Rocky Fox did may the motor monts or something. But anyway i hit a huge pot on on 45 and now it has been out for a while, got broken it while i have been tryin to get parts for it. But i found an oil pan but i notice is shorter but has a cure in it thats hits the crossmember now!!!! so i have to figure something out may build a new crossmeber for it. But i dont know. What would yall do?

well i got it in after some cutting out some of the crossmember

i know with mine the 4x4 and the 2wd were WAY different. it was with a 350 bu thte same rules apply with the 4.3 im sure
