I GET THE DUMBASS OF THE YEAR AWARD

So i got my blazer running today after 2 1/2 years. I decided to bag the rear and put in a fuel cell and pump... well after it was bagged and time to install pump, i try to wire in the fuel pump to the factory wires... did work... back then i didn't know i blew a fuse because i went through "ALL" the fuse by the motor compartment... well i must have missed one..the fuel pump module and cam and vapor and havc fuse.. i have a 2002 xtreme and has the same fuse box. so i took the one out of the blazer and sat it beside the other one. pulled fuse by fuse and found the blown fuse ,,,replaced it. turned on the pump . AND VVVVVVVRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM. SHE RUNS. DAMN I AM SO STUPID.....

I don't know.. I may come close. I also was installing a fuel cell in my 01 GMC and had it hooked up right just like everyone was telling me to. I tried to start it but it wouldn't start. Finally a couple weeks later my dad was over and he told me if it was the battery and I told him I hadn't even thought about it. So we charge my battery up and guess what happens

WELL CONSIDER ME NUMBER 3 IN LINE ---- WHEN WE WHERE DOING MY BODY DROP IN MY FRIENDS GARAGE --- WE HAD DID ALL THE RELOCATING AND THE BODY DROP WAS DONE -- WHEN I WENT TO START THE TRUCK BACK UP IT DIDNT WANT TO CRANK ----- COME TO FIND OUT A FUSE WAS NOT PUT IN RIGHT AND ONE OF THE LITTLE POINTS ON THE FUSE WASNT IN THE HOLE --- HAD TO CALL IN SOMEONE THAT NEW ALL ABOUT WIRING --- HE FOUND IT IN LIKE 2 SECOND AND SAID "WELL YOU DIDNT HAVE THE FUSE IN THE RIGHT HOLES" -- DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME --- I GAVE HIM A $20 THOUGH --- AND WE STILL LAUGH ABOUT THAT TODAY ------- OH WELL -- SH!T HAPPENS !!!!! ---

after ibodydropped mine, it wouldnt crank. come to find out a month later i had the wires on the coil backwards....

Just before this last reso, I was putting my truck together to take it there. The motor was out and torn down for a rebuild. i put the motor back in and get it all together and start tryin to get it running. I start crankin the motor over and it wont fire. set the #1 cylinder to TDC and try to fire it...nothing. All this time i was doin i was smelling gas so i didnt think anything of it plus i could have swore i parked the truck with a full tank of gas.

Come to find out, the tank had ZERO gas in it. so i go get the gas put it in the tank, and the motor fires on the first crank!!!

I got one.. the first night i took my truck out after BD it, someone jumped in the back seat and somehow manged kick the harness under the floor mat and disconnect it.. this harness only powers the fuel pump, well during our trouble shooting we pulled the relay for the fuel pump under the hood thinkin it was bad, and when i finaly found and reconnected the harness it still wouldnt start, not remebering that i had the relay in my pocket. well after about an hour of messing around.. i jumper the pump to my battery which just happens to be in the trunk now! and drove home.. The next morning i got up to check it out and relized i had pocketed the relay the night before. Threw it back in and the truck started right up!

When trying to fix a problem it's the littlest things that stump us all. Look for the stupidist fix first and that's usually it.

i might qualify...

while i was tryin to find a better ground for my led tail lights, wat-i-thought-was-a-washer fell of one of the bolts... well i grounded the ground from the tail light to that bolt and it was fine... 10 min later i try to crank it up and it wont start, so i start check all the fuses and wiring and even spark plug wires and still nothin... well after bout an hr... my dad and me are standin there stumped and he goes "well i dont think its gettin fuel" so i check the fuel pump and wat had fell off the bolt was not a washer, it was the ground for the fuel pump... i fell like an idiot...
