v8 in my mazda

i know where to get brackets, but i would like to see some pics of a 302 in a mazda, and need to know if there is any other mods that have to be done?

you will need a shorter waterpump the one from Ford Motorsports, an electric fan and modify the tranny tunnel a little. Not too much trouble from what I hear but I havwe never actually done it MiniTruckin' did a feature on it some time back bout a year or so ago you might be able to get a copy from them

I tried to put a 302 in mine. The oil pan and the steering bar hit. I hated it so bad. I could not get the motor low for shit! I almost threw it away right then, I probably would have too, if I had a place to get rid of it......

Maybe I'm just an idiot but it didn't fit for shit!

I did body drop it 4 inches though.

i wish it was an easy thing to do, cuz I would do it.

seriosly put a 350 in ur mazda it is so much easyer to do this swap i have a friend that did a ford 302 had nothin but problems and i have a friend in cluding my self that did the 350 swap so much easyer than the ford! Originally posted by lowrange83

micha did you make your own mounts or did you find conversion brackets? i will build them if i have to but i'm just lazy and would rather buy them if i can.

has anybody done the chevy 4.3L swap, cause i'm thinking about that also

got them from ultimat customs in canada for 2 bills its 2 motor mounts and a newcross member under the oil pan! www.ultimatcustoms.ca is there web site and loydd is the owner he's cool dude!! funny i still have the instruction packet in my tool box would you like me to make photo copie's and send ya some???
