I was hopin I could get some overview on what Im planning as Im not too familiar with mazdas or nissans.
Heres my thoughts,I have an 87 hardbody 3.0,5spd,4x4 ext cab,the body is completely rotten(no cab mounts are attached,no floor pans, front structure crumbling). My friend steve-0 has a 89 ish b2200 cab thats mint.
I was wanting to switch cabs, the brakelines, bodymount building to fit the new cab, mounting all the junk to the inner fenderwells, mounting the rad, hooking up steering, etc is no problem.I plan on keeping the bodylift thats currently on it for clearance for motor or anything else that I need to work on.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction as far as getting it running again(electrical) and basically Id like the lights and heat to work as well...
Any help is appreciated,Thanks alot

just swap harnesses, put the hardbody harness and fuesbox in the mazda cab, use the nissah steering column and all. You'd freak out some people with a nissan key for your mazda but hell it would probably at least do 80, most mazdas wont.
But seriously, if you switch harnesses too, everything is still in the same rough place, headlights, turnsignals blah blah. The cab becomes just sheetmetal. You know what the REAL difference between a mazda cab and a nissan cab is when you look at it like that? THE SHAPE.

i would probably use the dash wiring from the hardbody and splice it to the fan it will be a headache but it would work

OOPS......I failed to mention another big part of the reason I wanted to switch was because my wiring is a mess...the dash lights flicker, the headlights work sometimes, sometimes the right only, and my ignition is on a pushbutton(i think the cylinder is fried). This is how I got the truck incase anyone was wondering, and I looked at 12 hardbody cabs today and they were all junk.

Either rewire the truck... using wiring diagrams from both trucks to figure out how, or see if someone can make you an aftermarket harness to replace your old one.
I would just get a new factory nissan harness, or good used one, and then swap nissan dash and all into the mazda. This would simplify things a lot.
Of course by the time you do this, you could probably find another whole non running nissan 4x4 with all the parts you need...for not much more money.
Oh and damn, are you canadians that ruff on some nissans, shit!! Do you have to deal with lots of salted roads???
