ok so i got this truck, 95 s-10. it use to be bagged when the guy i got it from bought it and he took it all off. but the back still has 4" blocks and a notch and the front looks to be even with the back so i was thinking it had drop spindles on it cause he said he took it to a spring shop to get taller springs. is there anyway i can tell if they are indeed drop spindles?
thanks
maybe itll have belltech/djm/chassis tech cast on them?
Most drop spindles have an 'L' or 'R' cast onto the back side of the spindle. And as far as I know, most stock spindles do not.
At least by BellTech they do. I've never had any other brand drop spindles on hand.
^ YEP YOU ARE RIGHT SETH.I'VE SEEN IT ALSO
ill have a look at em for that. thanks for the tip fellas.
lol ... i seen the title and seen robbie was the last post and thought "okay who's robbie making fun of"
ya bro just look on the backside and check if its stamped ...might have to pull em off to do it though ...not really sure if ya will be able to tell with fender wells and all still on the truck.
Mine are chassis tech but cant really remember if mine has a part # stamped on the backside or actually had the name ....im thinkin part # actually
but seth is right on the L & R part though im pretty sure my factories didnt have that but know my chassis tech's did for a fact.
djm/belltech/chassis tech should cuz im pretty sure there all made at the bellfoundry or atleast from the same casts.
its easy to tell actually
there is a 2 inch diference between the 2
factory the spindle shaft is about a 1/2 inch to an inch (cant remember) from the lower balljoint tab on the inside.
drop spindles are about middle of the whole thing.
easy to tell.
