question on gas tank relocated?

ok i just bought 92 mazda b2200.the guy i got it from bought it from an auction,and didnt have the time to figure out all the wires that were hangin around the truck,it just sat.at his house he just aired it up to play with the switches.well i figured out they werejust for strobes,screenes,and bang.it has already been bagged,it has the gas tank relocated in the bed.i was told that a fuel cell tank should have a better fuel pump running from it,not just a stock one.also i should bolt off the extra fitting on the top-right?the truck runs prettie good but the carb. i believe is fucked up.idles at 2rpm-and some times it will shut off by itself.i was thinkin on just rebuilding the carb.but any oppinons,about this set will be great.i dont know alot about different gas tanks.to me i dont think it matters,but?here is a pic./also will this even pass inspection will it there,anyone ever have any problems?thankx..
