Yes thats ideal but you have to make sure the phone you get operates on the same frequency your service does (i think its something like 900/1800) and that this new phone accepts the voltage of your simcard

Got the Pocket PC/Microsoft Windows phone...dont' know the manufaturer offhand, but I really like the phone.
