I got some new 20's for my truck this weekend (99 mazda x-cab) and the center cap on the front rims hits the dust cap for the bearings. I am sure other people have had this problem what should I do, just take the cap off and put some plastic over it to keep the grease in? Also anyone have some 245/35/20 they want to sell?
Not sure about the dust cap. But EBAY has a cheap ass 20" tires.
I took a hammer to the ones on my S-10. Just dent them in enough to clear the center cap, but not enough to touch the bearings. I hope this helps you out, caus=e it worked wonders on mine. And I did it like 8 years ago, still using the same dust caps now.
yea just tap them in like 1/4 inch and you should be good. they hit on my bazo's like 3 years ago but cleared my bonspeeds. still using the same caps too
If they still hit, you can get like a 1/4", or 7/16" spacer. That's what I did on my old ranger.
