I have a 4 channel alarm unit with 2 wire for each channel and i don't have a clue about how to set up the relay it has four prongs on it, and if i touch the black wire from the relay to - on the batt and the white one to + it makes a click noise any help please
If theres anything else you need to know about it to help let me know i'm trying to do it now but its not workin to great no progress whats so ever

well the relay works like this 30 is for your door lock, starter or popper. If the part needs 12 volts to work, 87 needs to be bat 12 volts +. 85 is ground and 86 is 12 + now if your alarm output is neg (most are) then 85 should be hooked to the alarm output. if the output is 12 + then hook it up to 86. Thats about it, if you are hooking this up to a "5 wire" lock set up or a starter kill let me know cuz there is more to it....

i got it to work but i have to press the button once to pull it open and then again to disengage it
you should be able to change that to a pulsed signal. As far as the alarm havin to wires per chn, are there some instructions on line for that model?
