16 gauge sheet metal prices

What are some prices you have paid for some 16 gauge? I normally get "recycled" metal but it's hard to find it in bigger sheets and rust free. I'm looking to buy a 4x8 sheet or something in that neighborhood and was wondering what to expect.

Kind of depends on loaction. Here in CA, metal is expensive as hell. A new 4x8 sheet of 16 guage will run you around $300 at one place. My friend works at another steel shop with better prices, and the best he can get one for is $140. I bought a recycled piece for $35 that has surface rust all over it. I figured I'd just wire wheel it, rather than paying out the ass.

i bought two 16 gauge sheets bout 3 weeks ago they were about 57.00 a sheet 4x8

i just bought 4 sheets of 4x8 16 gauge sheet and it costed me $342 canadian.
