so i posted up a classified ad on streetsource for my wheels im selling and this person e-mails me today..........

yea same thing happened to me i even talked to the person who wanted to buy it and they didnt even know what they wanted to buy and they wanted to pay 4 times the amount i wanted.... i say scam

the classifieds are getting hit by buyers trying to scam watch out for people that want to send you like 5000 bucks and then you take what you want out of it

same thing happened to me when i sold something on the classifieds

anything with a yahoo email address lately is a scam. All nigerian scammers use yahoo mail because it is web based and, unlike hotmail or gmail, doesnt require you to provide any personal information such as location and full name.

Go ahead, check the latest three day auctions on ebay with assnine prices on collectable cars. Like a 70 Mach I in perfect shape for 7k. The auctions say "DONT USE THE ASK SELLER LINK, EMAIL ME AT XXXX@YAHOO.COM"

Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. The people who fall for these scams dont think so.
