would u have to shorten ur rear end to run these on a 97' s10?? (if so..how much?)

yes needs to be shorted 2" on each side 20x10's need a 6" back spacing to fita stock or bagged s10

Yep... 1.75" per side if bagged up to 285 tire and 2" per side if body dropped up to 285 tire.

A 295/25 or 295/30 can fit- but is pretty tight.

However you're asking about 20's.... so your options are 275/30/20, 285/30/20, and 275/35/20 which all will work with the provided info.

what tires would everyone recommed w/ a 22x10?? would 255.30 fit?

22x10" billet? Hell-no, 285 or 295 is perfect for the application.

Consider a 255/30/22 on a 22x10" wheel. A 10" wheel has an actual 11" section width, and a 255 tire is 10.03" wide. I cannot stand when a wheel is wider than it's tire.

295/25/22, 285/30/22, or 295/30/22 are best suited for the 22x10" wheels on the rear of an S10.

Pirelli makes a matching 245/30/22 for the front 22x8.5" wheels or 245/30/20 if you plan to run 20's. The 245/30 is a match (sidewall height) for the 295/25.
