ok so im finally gettin ready to back my 02 s10...yes its an extreme so dont start baggin on me... anyways i dont want to spend tons of money as nobody wants to.. ive been checkin out the suicide doors notch and rear bracket kit for s10s.. it comes with the notch, brackets, and cross brace... now my main question is will that notch work to let my rear lay on 22's? i think its only a 8in notch and ive been told you need a 10in notch to lay on 22s... next question, how horrible is the ride on an over-axle set up?? i want to get the rear to lay as cheap as possible but want to mantain a somewhat decent ride... any help would be greatly appreciated...
mines over axle and it rides smooth get the shock mounts though it will ride way better and i think you can lay on a 8 in. but you could get a 10 just to make sure
My over axel isnt to bad i need to add shocks to smooth it out.. on the notch size i would do the 10inch just to be safe about it.
when you order from suicide doors just ask for the ten i know i got a ten and didnt even ask for one the rear deffinitele needs shocks i made the mistake of not putting them on and mine rides like shit in the rear
this extreme lays (kit) with the ridetech airbar and it has 22s out back
tight thanks bro...im gonna check into that...
i just looked at the air ride tech. site... according to that it only give 8in of drop... which with the way my rear's set up right now, i dont see how it could lay out... maybe it's the road grater kit???
the only problem you might have is tearing up your tupawear (not dissing your plastic cause mine was an xtreme) you will be happier laying out because that shat will get tore up
haha, tupawear. im getting a bagged std cab s-10 in a couple weeks. thought it would be great to bodydrop it, put an extreme kit on it, then go draggin and watch the pieces fly!!
to address your question, pretty sure the s-10 weld in notch is plenty for 22s. youll need to change up the bag mounts tho. i bagged a dime on 22s and the back was about 1.5 from laying due to the upper bag mounts being at the top of the notch, but theres enough room between the axle and bottom of notch. this was also with 295/30/22 tires. theres shorter ones avaialable now.
worst case, talk to jason or ricky at sd.com and they should be able to give you a more detailed answer.
for sure... thanks for the help bro...
