it said the server has timed out ever time i try to check it out,i def. would not pratice on your truck if you DON'T know how to weld,start of on some scrap,i woul get a miller,hobart thats a 210-220 output,maybe like the millermatic 175 MIG,or the hobart handler 180 MIG

i prefer the miller welders. i have the miller 135 and i love it.

definitely spend the money and a decent welder to start out with.
for starting welders look into licoln sp135, miller 135s, or hobart handler 140s. all are 110v, so you will have to watch the duty cycle. if you plan on welding thick metal alot (such as notches) then defnitely get a 220, like a millermatic 175, lincoln sp175, or a hobart 180

I prefer Miller also, right now only have a 135.. but it'd held up fine and done it's job on the few projects I've done, definitely going to invest in a 175 or 210 though for framework.

You mentioned bodywork, in that case a Miller 135 would be PERFECT.. and with some practice, you could do other projects with it also.
