ok let me start by saying, don't suggest that i just sell the wheels and get another set because these are what i want and they don't make them anymore so i can't just order a set with a ford bolt pattern. Ok i have a set of wheels and tires that i want to put on my splash, problem is they are chevy bolt pattern 5x4.75. I am a machinist so it wouldnt be a problem for me to take the hubs from the front and drill the chevy bolt pattern between the ford pattern but for the back i was wondering something. What is the difference between a 2wd s10 axle and 2wd ranger axle other than one is above the leafs and the other is below? How difficult would it be to take out the ranger axle and put in the s10 axle on top of the leafs? Will the u-joint on my ford axle be compatible with the chevy axle? I am just wondering because it costs like $100 per wheel to get em redrilled whereas i have an s10 axle and the equipment to drill a bolt pattern in the front hubs. Has anybody ever done anything like this? Help is appreciated
