tail light law

in texas what is the law regarding tail lights? I have 39 ford tear drop tails and I just got a ticket for them, and they are led's

probably cuz they dont have reflectors in them , *Idea* my friend does this , get some red magnetic reflectors and stick them to the rear of your truck when you driven around, at shows or when your chillin pullm off...........

What did he give you a ticket for? I am currently waiting a court date for the same shit but I had a led strip.

see he gave me a ticket for use of non-approved equipment and he said they weren't "big" enough I said well how big do they have to be and he answered with "bigger than those" so I'm fighting this mofo because they do have a reflector in them and are bright as hell

I've noticed that. They can't give you a straight answer As far as your problem, I would do a test and see if you could see the lights from the distance I gave above. I believe that if you can pass that then take it to court and show the judge. I don't think it says anything about size of the light. As long as you can see it, i think you should be fine.

you can see them from real far away, that is not a problem dude was just being a dick i guess
