I've got a few questions on LED. First I am looking for the ones that you can mount in the rollpan or whatever and sand them with the body and clear them. Where can I find them?
2nd question. Is the Taillight Assembly Computer that FBI sells a must have? On my truck I am running a complete new wiring harness from Painless Performance. For the wires going to the rear of the truck the kit has a brake/turn signal wire and a running light wire. I know the TAC would work with it but I want to know if it's a must. Do LED lights only have two wires coming out of them? One for ground and one for power? Thanks in advance.
I think mine have 3 wires coming out of them. Ground, parking, brake

i don't have the sandable ones, but mine are 2 wire led's & i'm using the fbi tacs & they work great, no complaints here. i've heard about using the trailer wire adapters, but no one ever gave me a straight answer about if you need 1 or 2. about 6 people started fighting about it & i figured if i needed 2 @ about $30-35 each, i may as well as get fbi's.

Even the "unsandable" ones are sandable (the smaller ones from FBI) you might just have to load them up with clearcoat but it's doable. An electronics friend of mine said that you can't have brakelight and taillight function from 1 single power wire without some sort of a controller. Not sure if there is a better way around this or not??

I sell the custom classic flush mount LEDs, The sizes range from 1.5" up to 59", and they come with 3 lenses (red/clear sandable/prizmatic). They also come with the needed pigtail that converts the 2 wire LED into tail/brake/turn.. and steel mounting bucket. they are pretty reasonably priced and bright as hell also.
there's a full tech article in a past issue of minitruckin (i have the pdf file saved) that could help you out.
just PM me if you want more info

mine are from Precision Rodware, they are the sandable ones, I got them from CanDo Specialties. My leds had 3 wires (ground, running light, brake/turn light). I used 1 trailer harness and everything works fine.
