Gm 89 model fullsize dash?

Hey can anyone help me i need to know if i can make a custom dash out of anything besides metal? And if so what could i use? Will wood work? I just want to put a radio and some small gauges and cover it with carpet if thats possible? Any help anybody?? thanks guys.

carpet is sweet for dashes.

i suggest cardboard and carpet, perfect combo!

^^^^^^ thats how you roll if your down i guess lol... get some chicken wire... and form the basic shapes.. then lay some fiberglass sheets over it.. and soak it in resin.. let it harden.. then sand it and add some body filler.. sand some more and paint it and that might be a little better than cardboard
