WELDING ?

can you weld chromoly with mig welder or is it easier or even possible with a mig? and how powerful should the welder be? thanks in advance

You can mig it just fine. How thick is the metal that you are wanting to weld?

like 1/8in round tube

it'll weld fine, you can weld it with like a 135amp welder but i'd feel safer with a 175amp or higher, it kinda maters what you're welding it for.

its very possible to tig weld chromoly most every bmx frame is made outa 4130 chromoly and those are all tig welded and those are designed to take massive abuse
