shaved doors...

the doors on my 99 sierra are shaved, but the other day my mother washed the remote to my door poppers in the laundry, now of course the remote doesnt work but the back up button is dead too...any advice or suggestions?

they have batterys in them out of a watch if you can get the back up apart just replace the battery and should be good to go

yea open it and let it dry good should work again. my buddie washed his and he opend it and it works just fine now!

LOL well thats ive had to become a pro at using, because not only do my poppers stick sometimes.. but my younger bro has a habit of locking his keys/remote in his truck.. across town... at 8am... on a sunday...

Had to get him the manual cable kit for christmas lol.

why didnt u have back-up wires that attach to an external power source?!? if u lock ur keys out or ur battery goes dead, u can just touch the back-up wires to another 12V battery and the doors will open!

i have a secret pull so i don't have to worry about losing my remotes or if the truck is dead

weve tried running the manual back up button straight to a 12 volt battery, nothing happened. all the fuses are good. the remote had a week to dry and never did. its just way too damn coincidental that the back up button stopped working the same time the remote went out. a locksmith had to come get the door open and im leavin me window down until my new door kit comes in next week.

WHat brand of a door kit ya got maybe we can get ya a new remote overnighted to ya for cheap...
