who here has a manual cable for popping their doors?

im ordering my younger brother a set for christmas because just today alone he woke me up at 8 to drive to where he works to break into his truck for him, then again when I got home so hed be able to get in it for school in the morning. twice in 1 day, waking me up at 8 on a SUNDAY, i HAVE to install one for him and purposely lock his remote in it lol.

Just seeing who else has them and how long it took to install so I can get it done quick while he's asleep christmas eve. any info/tips is appreciated.. before i start chargin him for coathangers lol.

i always use a bycycle brake kit it works great and its cheap

One thing I keep wondering is will it bind up between the door and cab or anything when closing/opening the doors?

with the latch needing to be pulled down, how does the cable do this.. run it around something below the latch as a pulley kind of?

I CONNECT IT TO THE ROD GOING TO THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE THAT WAY UR PULLING IT TOWARD THE FIREWALL AND U RUN IT OUT OF THE INNER FENDER

I ordered him an actual kit made for this, I might take pics and all step by step in case itd help anyone. Thanks for the tips.
