I found the best way is to lay the truck out on 2X4's and use wheel wrap ratchet straps on all 4 wheels. Its a pain in the a$$ to get the wheel straps on there but it is the safest and most reliable way.

Usually when I haul a lowered/bd vehicle, I lower it on wood 4x4's & ratchet strap the frame down at all 4 corners. But when I ratchet strap the rear of the vehicle I cross the straps (X) to keep the rear of the vehicle from sliding side to side.

Yeah I always X the straps when i haul a vechile. I guess the wood blocks sounds like the way to go but i would love some more opinions!!!!

I just go from on corner of the trailer to the other and grab some part of the truck in the process.

Or if your trailer has a metal deck you could just weld your rockers to the deck and cut them off when you get to the show. jk

i've never used wood blocks but for some reason everybody does, I've hauld the Blazer for 2 straight summers to every show with just 4 good ratchet straps. 2 crossed up front and 2 crossed out back (X). No problems yet, and we've been through some helacious roads. You get the occasional hard bounce and the truck gets SLIGHTLY airborne lol... but its never caused any problems. I guess the blocks help to not scratch a painted frame??
But if it ever goes slightly airborn on the blocks... and the blocks shift and say the rocker comes down on a 4"x4"... I'd be pissed lol.
And some say its better to towed Air'd up. NO WAY. I've done both, I lay that bitch out- seems to tow better b/c you don't have any play back there, its all one unit working off the trailers suspension. Plus jeezus it just looks cool!
good luck
mike
