Has anybody else ever thought of doing this?

I thought of this acouple days ago...if somebody welds there hood shut...and has a tilt front end...and installs a license plate relocater...the kind thats actuated..and cuts out a little oval shape on top of there hood,and when they're showing the truck/car..ofcoarse the license plate will be pointing outwards..so you can just lift it up...and it'll be facing upwards....so when your ready to go...you can flip the license plate down...so it wont be laying back when your driving...yall follow me?....just something I thought of...I dont know if its been done yet....I know a guy on here has that red truck...with the license plate and LEDs that pop up...but Im talkin bout sumthing dealing with the hood...(front of the car/truck)....tell me whatchall think about it

that was rather confuzzling..but if i followed correctly your basically sayin make a plate that pops out of your hood and sits there like a hood ornament?? maybe im not getting it but if i am...

put it inside your bumper instead. Put it on a small air cylinder with a cantilever set up to get enough lift to get the plate all the way out. I think the plate popping out the hood wouldnt look right at all. You would probably get pulled over for obstruction of view.

why would u consider welding your hood shut? do you plan on checking for oil? just doesnt make sense bro...

What he is saying is that he wants to weld the hood to the fenders and make a tilt front clip. That means for some smarty pants out there, that he can still check his oil. The hood and front finders will tilt forward. This way he can still get to every thing.

As for my opinion. It is one of the cool old school things to do. I might be doing it to my next truck!

i know what hes saying, but i have no idea about how he wants to make the plate work. oval shape on top of the hood? lift it up to point outwards??
