parts washer

is thier any kind of solvent you can use besides the parts washer fluid? It cost more for the fluid than for the parts washer.thanks for any help.

Varsol works well, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

there is some waterbased stuff out there, the EPA does not like varsol
