(I saw GameOver let him use it but still my 2 cents)
That'd be stealing. You should never alter anyones work without asking for their permission.
so, all the pictures that people use of the STOCK s10, or Dakota, or the WHEELS they want or the background they want... that's not stealing why?
If you do a quick search and find the STOCK truck you want on Google image search, and you start there, explain to me how you didn't steal the image to begin with?
I'm not seeing the difference...
someone tell me know stealing someone else's base "rendering" is different than stealing someone's picture of their truck in their driveway and photoshopping it.
i have gm media access and ford.. Chrysler and several other sources with permission to use them its not stealing if they dont have a copyright on them and even so it wont hold up in court if u photoshop it...

My rendering was free though or I wouldn't have ever gotten one
And why do you have seth's wheels on the truck and billets in the background ?
I want to have a rendering done before I get my truck painted. For one, I have a couple of ideas, and two, I'm not doing it and I want something to show the show what I want.
And I don't think those are my wheels. ?

none of it will hold up in court, who actually has a business license and trade mark and copyrights registered with anyone?
just saying, it's all a manipulation someone else's work anyway. I highly doubt any of these rendering farms are going out and doing photo shoots of their customers whips and then modeling all the parts in 3d and shit...
either way. it's all baloney.

Technically, I think you don't have to register an image as a copyright, as soon as you make it , it is copyrighted.
And let's say they use pictures at shows for truck renderings, I think they can use those since they are public domain at shows.
BUT I think if you modify an image enough you can get away with it.

i did mine with a pic i took of my own truck
but either way unless the rendering was hand drawn theres no reson to bitch what so ever since every digital photo shop is using some one else photo or even if you have "media access" your still just using some one else work as a platform to start from.this is not that serious of s topic so all you guys getting so butt hurt over the fact the kid used someone elses rendering to start from should just chill the hell out and stop takeing every thing so serious

this is a serious question for ya(not trying to be an A_hole at all). where do you get all the pics for your renderings and what do you consider a legit source of pics for renderings?
