im probably gonna end up buying a former feature truck in the next week & a half. the truck @ this point resembles very little of its past self. however thats when i loved the truck. i know some people live by the built not bought. now heres the question. if i had it repainted the exact same way except have a few things shaved and a smoothed bed & a new interior. and probably air brush on the tail gate area. "feature name reincarnated" or "feature name 2"
update:
turns out something came up on my end. i wont be able to get this truck. i wish i could but theres a BIG posability my budget on toys is gonna shrink soon for a while...

Go for it. Who really gives a sh*t what others think. If you like the truck, and will take good care of it, that's all that matters. Look at Uncle Fester. He is a god for saving Last Look.

i wouldn't think of that as being a bad thing. it think it would be pretty cool to show the begining, middle, and end photos in the feature also. only thing i would say it to talk to the owner out of respect. i mean, not that they would even have a problem with it or that it's against the law. i just think it would be respectfull, especially if you plan to use their feature name again also. just my opinion...
btw, when i say owner. i mean the original one that had built the truck the first time around...

dont know off the top of my head which one alter ego is. the feature truck im talking about isnt a cover truck, alter ego sounds familiar like a cover truck. and the truck im talking about isnt alter ego as far as i know.

Did Alter Ego ever look different from how it is now? I think it's only gone through its original incarnation...
I think that picking up a truck that inspired you and restoring it to its former glory is commendable. Adding a few modern and/or personal touches along the way is cool, too- but only to a point.
If you're messing with an icon like Last Look, you'd get lynched for putting 20s or a different interior on it, but as long as what you have planned isn't outlandish it should be cool!
Good luck- you've got us itching to see it now!
