You know the scene has changed a little bit in the 37 years I have been in it but the people are still the same. As an old guy in the sport I think it is cool as hell when you guys talk to me about how it was and how do we get back to that time. I think that the old days are the same as these days because without one you would not have the other. That is what being a Mini Trucker is all about.

Ok here is one for some of you more well seasoned guys. Like the reference of not saying old guys. Here is the question after seeing the Ronals. What were the rims of choice in the 70s and 80s for Mini Trucks?
Not sure but Hammers come to mind.

Back in the day which seems to be the coin fraise. Western Wheel Company built some wheels called. Bullets if you were one of the guys that had them you were custom
All the wheels that were listed on the mild 2 wild ad in minitruckin....hehehe
I was a big fan of the skateboard look when I started so the reverse 15's on 205's, this is before the "everything real big" was the thing.
Here's a good story for ya'll. I've been a mini-trucker since 1985. A couple of years ago I gave my '70 Ford project truck to my Dad (he's almost 66) because I didn't have enough time to build it. A couple of weeks ago he told me that he was at a hot rod show and there were some mini-trucks there. He got to checkin them out and asked me what it would take to bag his truck. Damn near brought a tear to my eyes. He also called me Sunday with an idea for a new t-shirt design. Brings a huge smile to my face everytime I think about it.
