Ok here is one for some of you more well seasoned guys. Like the reference of not saying old guys. Here is the question after seeing the Ronals. What were the rims of choice in the 70s and 80s for Mini Trucks?
well i started in 86(i am now 3,and we were either running bolt on wires or stars and hammers, alot of reverse wheels also-and 16 inch wheels were for rich people
I think this may be the best thread ever on ssm, it makes me feel young at 34, got into mini trucks in 1990 after cruisin around in my buddys toyota, I thought damn this could get me laid, I ended up with a 14 year marriage and still going with 3 kids and it had nothing to do with my truck, so it never got me laid but I still build em anyway!

My dad had his truck till he was well in his 50's. he still loves to borrow my beater (shit-canned dakota), and wants to borrow the chev (isn't going to happen HAHA )
I love hearing the stories of the trucks and the custom stuff guy's were doin' to em' back in the day. Reminds me of the "good old days" back when I was young and the good times my buddies and I had screwin' around with our cars and trucks. I'll be 46 in a few days but I didn't get into the lowered trucks until about 6 years ago, and that is when I started building the truck I have now. I starting seeing all these really cool custom lowered trucks in the Mags. and thought " Man, those trucks are cool as hell" I think it's time to build one of them. Even though I built a full size, I still feel as though I am a mini trucker. I will have to say, my wife and I have met so many great people and have such a great time at the shows with everyone. Our kids were checkin' out some pics from the shows and said " man, you guy's hang out with people our age". We love it. To us, This is the "good old Days".
