Now, being in Orange county, would it be possible to drive to LA or San Diego every morning for a job? or is it like 1h+ both ways??

The OC is like an hour from SD and an hour from LA.

Orange County is awesome, lived there most of my life until I left for 7 years in the military. When I got out, I tried to buy a house and couldn't afford one that much. As for renting, you might be able to find some affordable apartments, but good luck. I had to buy a house 70 miles away, but Cali is great aside from all the dickhead drivers.

If your not used to the fast paced life than think twice about the OC and that whole area.... Everything has to be done quick, the driving will scare you (people passing you in the slow lane goin 80-90mph)
Whatever looks close to you on the map in that area can gauranteed traffic delays and always end up taking longer than you think.

I live about 3hrs north of LA on the central coast (San Luis Obisbo county) its alot more laid back. Really low crime rate and very nice scenery. There aint shit for our scene but that seems to be changing. Gas is $3.29 a gallon here and rent avrages $800-$1000 a mo. for a two bed apt.

I was born and raised in the central Cali area and to this day i dont ever think i will go back to living there...

OC Bitches!!!! Anything from Ventura County down is cool. Rent is from $1000.00-$1700.00for a nice place. Ive been paying $1450.00 for a two bedroom. Oh yea get use to the fiesta's.

damn, cali prices are like orlando, maybe a little cheaper even. damn. i always thought cali was CRAZY expensive.

Cen Cal is the place BABY! $1900 mortgage for a 1900 Sq Ft home with a job that matches both my insurance with my lady and $180 car insurance for two vehics and surrounded by everything, San Diego, L.A., Pismo, Vegas, San Francisco, Sacramento...it's cool for being CEN CAL... L8TR
