just paint your block as you would any thing,
CLEAN, prime, base, clear..... painted mine to match body when i rebuilt it, no problems what so ever. dont have any oil leaks though
as that will stain the paint.

headers for a 3.0 ranger are EXPENSIVE.

I wish it was that easy. My truck is bright atlantic blue. I have found a high temp rattle can darker blue and one called "Ford Blue", but it was too light. I don't want to even think about the time and money it would take to powdercoat the BLOCK. Plus even places that powdercoat don't always have a good match to my paint. The blue is going to be my main color and as an accent color I am going to use chrome so the block has to be blue. I guess I am just a perfectionist.
Yes, the JBA headers are $500! I'm thinking to get my stock manifolds jet-hot coated has to be cheaper. Thanks for the replies guys.

I painted my 455 in my 51, but I just used high heat engine paint from Summit. It worked out pretty good. Went for the old school look anyways.
