SSM - Overhauling the magazine

sounds good to me.. great idea like the shop directory

I see people complaining the day of an event because the coverage is not up yet! It never fails and people never realize how much time goes into "show coverage" and thinks it easy to do. Yeah it's easy to do but quality takes time. Take your pick. Fast uploaded pics, or quality...

I know this may be a dumb question......but how does the magazine cost so much to put together? what different with havin a mag or havin a buncha show coverage on the site?

I am down with this. I really dont look at the coverage even. I am just platinum to support the site. There are so many sites that put out show coverage that after a while it is kinda repetitive, then waiting for the nexts months issue is kinda pointless because you have seen it all already.

As for the articles of prominent minitruckers, I think is an awesome idea. Just let me know when you want me to submit mine.

I am cool with a gallery, however since some of us have invested in $40 memberships to go from a two magazine access to one magazine access and now possibly no magazine access, where is the value in what some of us paid?

I can understand where your cost are high due to the bandwidth issue; however I think you guys need to think about a "rebate" program of some kind for those members that have paid a premium.

I enjoy looking at the mag, and thats why I paid membership. I hope you guys don't get rid of it. And as far as the show pics I do enjoy looking at a variety of shot pics but there are a millions different places to see it. It takes months to see stuff in Mini Truckin, but that doesn't mean they should drop it. I know that is a little different but still. And would there be special things only members could view? Because if not then there will be a lot more bs on the site because its free for any dumb ass to go keyboard commando.

We have been talking about doing free shirts again. One of the main reasons i'd like to do the shirts again is to show everyone that we really have changed. I'd like to restore SSM's image to what it should be. Get shirts out within weeks, not years.. (that still erks me to no end btw)

Those of you that feel you are not getting what you paid for, and want a partial refund, i would like to do what ever is neccesary. We apreciate your support and hope that we can maintain your support.

Basically, I want to make SSM an overall better site. SSM has unique abilities that other sites don't have the resources to accomplish (traffic, industry pull, etc). I really think we can turn SSM into a great place to find out what's really going on in the minitruckin community.

Kris, I just re-read my response and it almost sounded like i was being negative. I know that this site is not easy or free to put on. Just trying to understand why a subscriber would want to pay a premium to renew.
