my first mini in 1993. it used a reversing hydraulic cylinder from the local tractor parts store and a power tilt and trim pump from an outboard motor with homemade hinges.
So i pretty much setup my bed i made the frame i jsut hasvnt welded it to the bed yet but wat do u do about wiring , i have a cali combo with 4 leds rightunder my upper body line,l should i extend them alot and just let he extra wire hang or is ther esomnethibn i can put it so it will work
Mine's dumped on my taco. I used an 2 foot air actuator it comes up pass 45 degrees and still stable with no shocks. I used 1/4 in air line and 3/8 valves. I've hit it up doing about 60 mph and no problems even dragged it with it up too.
What hinges did you guys use?

I made my hinges from 4 link ends & tabs....right now the bed is manual powered....plus it will tilt more than 90 degrees laid flat w.o hittin the ground

Back in the day you would drive in front of a ride and lift your bed and dump on someone.
You would also hoped that it was latched down well enough that your bed would'nt fly the "f" off.
Convertibles with dump beds and snugtops should come back..... IMO
fuck yea!!!!! love that look!!! snugtopped bed full up with 15" pyle Dryvers!!!

My guess is that your wires run under the bed. Maybe give them a little length and keep them as close to the pivot point (hinge) so minimize the chance of pulling. Also definately keep a little slack in them and run it up and down a few times to make sure nothing binds or catches.Good luck and keep us updated, pics a plus.
