On my f/s I had a 2-link with SSC's bar connecting them. The bars were 3' long
measure your cock, add 2 1/2ft, and mount it in the bed.

on any truck, bars should be as long as possible since you WILL have pinion change and there's no way around that on a 2link.. at least with longer bars you can minimize it a little.i know u know a hell of alot more about this stuff Ricky, but my 2 link has no pinion change at all

no, his doesnt have change, it has a bar in the midle that stops it..i dont know that works i didnt build it,but u can watch it from layed out to full lift, theres no change. or if it does it is not noticeable
have any pics of that setup?

pics. Because if the bar you are talking about is a trac bar between the two big bars, you are taking about not having any side to side movement, which isnt pinion angle. I dont mean to be a doubter though, so get us a few pictures, one of the pumpkin when the truck is laid out, and one of the pumpkin when it is lifted. Its just that its pretty hard to have your axle mounted solid to two bars, have those bars work on an arc, and not have pinion angle change.
the pinion angle is not suppose to be straight the barings in the u joins are lubed by the angle of the pinion. so a slight angle is good if it is exactly straight all the time it will not be lubed while in rotation. i would make the 2 link bar as long as the driveshaft if it is a 2 piece shaft. if it is too short it will push and pull really bad on your shaft. when it lifts and drops.
