A Fresh Look for the Settings Pages

Street Source has always packed a lot of features — but when it comes to personal preferences, there are actually fewer than twenty settings that really matter. Things like your email, password, nickname, and how you get notified about threads or gallery events.

The problem? Those pages hadn’t aged well.

The CSS was broken in a few spots, making buttons misaligned, text hard to read, and forms awkward to use. It wasn’t pretty — and honestly, it made something simple feel unnecessarily complicated.

So this recently, I finally gave the Settings pages a much-needed refresh.

The new design keeps things clean, modern, and consistent with the rest of the site’s evolving look. Everything lines up properly now, buttons behave the way they should, and the overall experience feels intentional instead of patched together.

Here’s what’s been updated:

  • Email, Password, and Nickname: tidied up, easier to use, and more consistent across devices.

  • Thread Follow Preferences: simplified so you can control how often you get notifications.

  • Gallery Event Preferences: visually improved and ready for the next update — soon you’ll automatically get email notifications when someone uploads coverage from an event you follow.

This wasn’t a flashy update, but it’s one of those behind-the-scenes improvements that really improves the overall experience. Street Source is full of deep features — and the more the foundation feels solid, the easier it becomes to keep adding new things.

I’ll keep chipping away at the rough edges one page at a time — making sure that Street Source not only works, but feels good to use again.
