YES I KNOW WHAT THE REV LIMITER IS FOR. it is for a guy in the club and i have been helping him tune it. it is a z-24 motor in a stock 84 720 with like 250,000 miles on it and yes he wants to blow it up. he is running a 75 shot of nitrous and a 750 cfm 4 barrel and with small slicks it is running 9.10 in the 1/th mile.it is all stuff in his garage and hios factorey carb blew up. so he called me yesterday and wanted to know how to get the rev limiter out cause it wont get up about 5,000 rpm. he is just going to keep pushing it until it does blow. so please help thank you.

its not a revlimiter, ill bet that you are vust floating your valves, the spring psi on the valves arent made to over rev like that. and the cam in the engine isnt designed to make power. your not going to rev it any higher with the factory cam and valves floating, even with squeese on it. you will end up lean burning the engine and melting the pistons
