2000 civic 2dr suicide doors???

I'am doing suicide doors on a 2000 Honda Civic 2dr using the suicide doors .com kit.The problem i'am having is that the door opens only 19" before it hits the quarter panel.I'am open for any input or photos.Thanks in advance for any help....
