shocks still bottoming

i installed new billsteins and rauised the car a little and installed my new chassis tech control arm camber kit and the shocks are still botoming out. I did not putthe bump stop in and im kinda glad i didnt because then it would be bottomignout even sooner. Is it a much more cushioned hit with them in though? just trim them down so theyre thin? k thanks
