rear axle

anyone know if the rear axle and specifically if the gear ratio are the same for the first generation d50 2wd and the first generation 4x4

should be the same. 1st gen montero and dodge raider were in the same family.

i got a 3.55 third member out of an early montero for my 87 ram 50 5psd 2wd. not only will it run better highway, it's a locker unit so winter driving should be a little easier.
