Hello, I bought my first D50. It's a '88 4x4 and had a blown head gasket between cylinders. Regardless, I'm replacing the head without the jet valves. What is the difference between the hydraulic and mechanical heads? I think mine has the hydraulic, but I have no idea. It is a 2.6 G54B and has the weber carb. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance, Allen

The difference refers to the lifters used, either solid or hydraulic. The hydraulic lifter head would use non-adjustable rocker arms. Obviously, the solid lifters will use adjustable rocker arms.

Easy.

Hello, hey thanks for the respond. I was pretty sure that was it, but not 100%. The ones I have now have the adjustable lifters. Anyway, that clears things up for me. Again, many thanks. Allen
