So here it goes:
I swapped that Mikuni carb for the Weber. I have to pass emissions every year and now it is time. I need to adjust the Weber to pass emission. I don't think there is any visual inspection, but I will have a few issues.
1. Shops around here don't know how to work on carburetors (see below)
2. The emissions return line and valve are missing. The pipe broke and there is no place for the line in the new air cleaner. the hole is plugged in the manifold
3. I have tuned it super lean. I turned the screw in all the way and back it out 1/4 turn.
4. I adjusted the idle to just make it run without sputtering

What else can I do? will retarding the timing do me any good? I think I will go into the emissions shop on tuesday and take my chances. worst case scenario I put the Mikuni back onand spend time and $$$ tuning it again.

I am not relying on any shops around here. The only shop I found that will work on a carb gave me a really hard time. They thought I had bypassed the CAT; and thought the CAT was a "pre-cat" on my '86 D50.
...That is unless anyone else knows of a good shop in CO. Blazer wont work on anything but Volkswagens.
