Ok so my hydrocarbons are supposed to be at 160 and on my first test came back at 313.... Realizing the truck was running a little rough I retimed it (was way off) brought the timing back to 5 degrees before top dead center with the ignition wire grounded. Pulled my plugs checked the gap (plugs are new) put them back in the truck. I fired the truck up which was now running better and figured i would go give it a shot again. Well I still failed but received a better failing score! My hydrocarbons were now down to 260 or something like that. Now for a bit of history on the truck bought it running like crap and wound up replacing a messed up injector. Truck ran way better then before but based on my failed emissions it still isn't perfect. Any suggestions? I am not opposed to "temporary" fixes just for the sake of passing......
