Upper control arms

Got my front suspension back from the shop had my control arms marked but when I got them back my mark was gone how do I know what side my control arm goes to and do I need those shims for the 2 arms because only one had them on it when I got them back

lay your control arms on the floor take and take a pic...if your changing any other suspension components IE;ball joints,bushings you are gonna need an alignment shop to get you shims that will correct for the differences brought about by the new components (the all knowing dad told me so lol)
