Can you lay w/o spindles??

trying to get this truck to lay on a 17 maybe 18 on stock spindles. the balljoints seem to be binding. i flipped the lower thinking itll give it more drop but the upper is binding. thought about pie cutting the upper control arm to reangle the balljoint but before i do i wanted to get your opinions or how you did it. get back to me please. post here or email at

what i've always done is pulled the camber in to lay out. i've had 4 bagged mighty maxes and that's all i've had to do to lay on an 18". now i have a macro cab that lays an 18" but i had to pie cut the upper arm along with pulling in the camber. i just recently heard of people z-ing the frame to lay, so i guess that's another option.
