Hello again everyone, I need some help to I.D this engine. I believe it to be a North American 2.0L carbureted 4g63 sohc 4x4 5speed. I found this motor and tranny combo bolted together in a bin of engines at a scrap yard a couple of years ago for $75. It had been forcibly pulled out of the truck it was in, before I got there. I only spotted the valve cover it looked the same as my 4g64. If I am right about the engine id, the next question is it the same as the 4g64 sohc head, just the head I don't care about the block. The reason for this is I would like to use it for the mock up when welding/building the turbo exhaust manifolds I plan on selling. Thanks for your response in advance.

x2. No pics to look at. There was the 2.0 g63b but I think the head is different than the 2.4. If I could see the exhaust hole ports I could tell you.

well the 2.0(g63b, will have engine id on pad on passengers side of engine) and 2.4 both share the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern and i think even the same exact exhaust manifold. People used the same pacesetter header when it was still sold for both their 2.0's and 2.4's since they are both paired port heads.

Ya know, I looked and looked on my trucks' block and I never found that pad with a number stamped on it. I've got two of the trucks and have had the heads off both engines and never noticed it while I was disassembling or reassembling the engines.

Maybe I'm blind!

I cant see anything still, just see "Image" a bunch of times.

The engine code is on the PASS side of engine behind and a little lower then the waterpump, it is located there on all the gas versions of Mightymax/ram 50 engines.

yep that looks to be a g63b. The head should be nearly the same as the valve covers and exh. manifolds swap between the two.
