oil pressure guage

So I bought an oil pressure guage from autozone and go figure the threads don't match up with my block. Anybody know if there is enough difference in the threads to tap it? or any other ideas on how to hook it up? It'd be nice to know that I didn't waste my money on this...

Hi Hampton,
I believe the Mitsubishi threads are 10mm while the threads on the aftermarket oil pressure sending unit are 3/8" pipe thread. You can either tap the sending unit hole or buy an metric to pipe thread adapter kit. I found an adapter kit for about $40.

I can't remember when or where I bought it, much less the part number. The only place I could have ordered it from was Checkers (O'Reilly's), Advanced Auto Parts, AutoZone or NAPA.

P.S. I found the receipt for it: NAPA, adapter kit, part number 701-1546, $41.49.
