I was wondering if the stock mazda rad and fuel pump can be used.
fuel pump can if you put a reguolator on it and you would need to recore the rad to a 3 row if you want to use it.
ok, if I go with a ford 302 or 351, will i have to run all new fuel and oil lines?
just where the fuel lines come into the engine to your carb. and what oil lines are you talking about?
here is my truck build i have a 302 with a c4 auto tranny 8 inch rear.
Transmission oil cooler lines.
I got a kit from summit that put the cooler lines on the passenger side by my rad with its own cooler.
Has anyone used the mustang rad? I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible. and I may be getting a mustang parts car. If not that, has anyone used the rad out of an older (80's) F150? were the mounts hard to line up? I can fab some up if i have to, or do the mustang ones both fit?
mine is with a stock 5.0L radiator man you gots to custom do the core and bumper brackets thought cuz its HUGE in the little truck
I'll have to see when I start digging into her, but i was thinking i would use the stock mustang rad, position it to be able to hook it up (as if it were in the stang) and find a way to mount it there, i can shorten the cooler lines if i have too, and i'll be using an electric fan so that will help. I'm mostly worried I won't be able to get it to the point where I don't need the shop, and hoists in a weekend. most of this stuff I can do in the driveway, like prettying up the wires, and worst case scenario, the driveshaft. Even if I can run it just long enough to get it back on the trailer. Are you running the mustang rear end? will the mustang driveshaft work?
no you need the lenght longer and i have a 85 gt rear with 373 gears in it
