I couldnt make the gussets any bigger because of the monster crossshafts. Steve at cando said he made them huge so they wouldnt be weak at the crossshaft. The crossshaft wouldnt fit unless i notched about 1 1/2" out of the old upper mounts, so i made new ones. The lowers uses an s10 pressed in balljoint and an s10 upper also. I was very happy with the control arms

if you were concerned about the gussets not being strong enough you could always gusset the front side as well....

Yeah, i was going to but i think it will be strong enough the way it is. Going to get my spindles tapered for the s10 balljoint, get the front bags welded in then start on the bodydrop. Maybe be able to finish the truck this year. (crossing fingers)

Blue crush, you can use your stock mounts you just have to cut about 1 1/2 " out of the hump on the back side on the upper mount so the crossshaft will sit flat against the mount, then replate the hole. I decided just to make new mounts. Thanks for the comment NYTRDR24.
