Mazda B2200 v8 swap

I am in the middle of installing a ford 302 with an AOD in my 90 model extended cab. I've built my mounts and massaged the tunnel. Was wanting to use long tube headers but the passenger side is beating my ass! Suggestions are welcomed. Will I have to use shorties?
