Sports car?

looking to buy a good sports car with alot of horsepower for my son, i need suggestions i was thinking a 98-02 mustang? would that be a good choice or ar 1988-92 camaro? no fart pipes.

i sure wouldnt go with a 3rd gen camaro.. start with at least 97 and up camaro.. 99-04 mustangs are a good platform..
